The Vernet Hotel is housed in a traditional Parisian townhouse with wrought iron balconies and pretty red canopied windows. Spacious and grand, the lobby features a marble tiled floor, chandeliers, Persian rugs and luxurious armchairs. The 42 guestrooms do differ in size, due to the age of the building, but the majority are medium sized and all are in excellent condition. The décor varies from room to room, but the overall style combines precious woods and antique furniture with modern convenience. The marble tiled bathrooms are also in excellent condition and equipped with Jacuzzis. Featuring a vaulted stained glass roof designed by Gustave Eiffel and decorated by Charles Chapigneulle, "Les Elysées" restaurant is bright and elegant and serves traditional French dishes. Alternatively, the more informal Jaipur Bar & Grill features dark wood, subdued lighting and gold and saffron fabrics decorated with a pattern of elephants. Guests at the hotel also have access, free of charge, to Spa facilities at the Royal Monceau Hotel, just a few minutes’ walk away. These facilities include the swimming pool, fitness club, weights room, cardio-training, sauna and Turkish bath.
